Standing Stone State Park is a beautiful little park located in Hilham, TN. It is very small and rustic. Tennessee's state parks are mostly CCC parks that were built long ago, and unlike GA state parks, they don't seem to be going through and renovating and modernizing everything, and we LOVE that. If you've read any of my reviews, you know we love rustic, we love old, we love vintage. To get into the park, you have to drive across a one lane bridge/dam, with rock walls on each side. So always make sure you have no incoming traffic. The park has a lot of super cute cabins-which I will review and show pictures below, but it also has a campground, a boat dock where you can rent boats or fish, a large field for playing, two playgrounds, a pool, and some hiking trails. We were very disappointed that when we went, the pool was not yet open, so there was nowhere to swim. So I believe the pool is only open June and July. The park was not busy at all. There were a few people that stayed in the cabins and a few people on the playground, but overall, we barely saw many people at all. I highly recommend this park for a nice quiet stay, a fishing trip, camping, or even day use.

Cabins:

As I said before, these cabins are rustic, but they are so cute. I loved it. The front door had a cast iron heart shaped lock. I have included pictures of the inside of the cabin. We stayed in number 4, and we had a full kitchen, full bath, one bedroom with a full sized bed and 2 twin beds, and a porch and a grill. There were no outdoor picnic tables though. There is no TV, but there is WiFi. Parking can be a bit finicky here. Each cabin has room for one car, with extra parking a little ways away. But we noticed that the cabin next to us had taken up the spots for their cabin and the one next to theirs. So when the neighbors came in, they had to park far away. So please be courteous with things like that. Anyway, the surrounding area was just so peaceful and beautiful. I loved opening up the windows and sitting on the porch and just listening to and watching the birds.

Overall:
