The filming location for Friday the 13th Part 6 and Fear Street 1978. Located in Rutledge, GA, this is another park that boasts many things to do-swimming lake, fishing, boating, hiking, playground, putt putt, cabins, camping, and two summer camps that you can either rent out or tour if they are not rented so that you can see the filming locations. We loved our stay in the cabin but one thing about this place, it was HOTTTT. I've never sweat so much in my life. We practically stayed in the lake. Even at night, trying to sit on the porch was almost unbearable. We tried to play putt putt, play on the playground and hike a little, but it was just so dang hot, we were all miserable. At one point, my son had to be carried back to the car and sit with an ice cold water on his head cause he was so hot that his face was beet-red. There is no way that I could have camped or stayed in one of the summer camps. But now that lake...because it was so hot, that lake felt ahhh-mazzzinggg. It felt so good, it was hard to get out. I could have laid on a float and slept there.

For any Friday the 13th or Fear Street fans, you can tour the summer camps where they were filmed. All you have to do is check in at the Visitor Center to see if anyone has them rented out, and if not, you give them your ID and they give you the gate code and you can go. Unfortunately during our stay, only one of the camps were available, the Friday the 13th one. The other one, that is supposedly haunted was booked.

Cabins:
These cabins were newly redone and very nice. They are a bit on top of one another, so you won't have a ton of privacy. There also wasn't a lot of parking, so you may not want to bring multiple vehicles. The cabins were so nice, with two bedrooms, three beds, two full baths, full kitchen, TV, a very cold AC, and a nice screened-in porch with rocking chairs and a dining table. There is also a fire pit, grill, and outside picnic table. We usually love sitting outside with a fire, having dinner outside, and just sitting and relaxing on the porch, but with how hot it was, we spent more time inside than we usually prefer.
