Located in the small beautiful town of Clayton, GA, Moccasin Creek is a cute, small little park perfect for camping and fishing. It is nestled right in the mountains, very out of the way and on the lake. We have not camped here, but we stopped in our way from Black Rock Mtn. The park is mostly just the campground that is a little loop. I don't think there were any/many sites right on the lake, but you could see the lake from many sites. There is a playground, picnic tables, a small boat dock, and a fish cleaning station. This park is more of a haven for people who want to fish and camp. There are some hiking trails that lead to a small waterfall, I believe, but we did not get to do that that day. I would love to go back and do that soon.
Overall, this was a cute camping spot and perfect for people who want to camp and fish. But if you have kids and want a little more like swimming, or a larger park, this one probably isn't for you. Even though it is on the lake, there is no swimming from the park.
