Of course we have to say we were "way down yonder on the Chattahoochee!" This was another very small, very dead park. We saw less than 10 people our entire stay, which was very weird. I expected this park to be pretty busy, but it was not. The park is cute but small. There is a nice little Visitor's Center with a porch and some rocking chairs where you can sit out and relax. There's the river and boat launch where you can kayak or tube. Unfortunately, you cannot swim so you have to go elsewhere. We were able to find a nice little county pool about 30 minutes away that we went to. Because it was HOT. We saw a lot of turtles and we loved that. My daughter and I actually walked up to the bathrooms near the river. We open the door, and there sits a massive turtle! We went and got a ranger to come help it out. The park had a couple of playgrounds-one public one, one in the cabin area, and I believe there was one in the campground area. And there were blueberries and blackberries everywhere! We picked SOOO many. The hiking trails were really nice, but we were a bit disappointed that the one by the river did not actually go by the river much at all.

Cabins:

The cabins were newly renovated when we had stayed and they were very nice. It was a two bedroom/two full bath cabin, and the couch pulled out into a bed. So there were 4 beds total, so it could fit a lot of people. There was a large screened-in porch on the back with rocking chairs and a table There was also a front porch with some rocking chairs. Each cabin had it's own grill and picnic table. We loved eating our dinner out there, finishing it off with s'mores from the fire pit. Just a very short walk was the playground, and it was really cool with a large jungle gym type thing and a cool swing. All around the cabin and playground were blackberry bushes.

Overall:
