Hiwassee-Ocoee River State Park is a nice little park for a camping trip or for a day on the river. It's very small, so there's not much to do here, but that's okay because most people that come here are spending the day tubing, kayaking, canoeing or fishing. We came and camped here on a Thursday-Sunday. Thursday night was very quiet. There were barely any other campers. We left out on Friday to go get some more supplies, and when we came back, every single spot in that campground was full. So weekends are definitely busy here. There is a playground for the kids, and there is a bathhouse. When we camped in September, nights were actually a bit cold, so having the bathhouse heated was very nice. The river is not a far walk from the campground, but the sites are not on the river. You can drive down to it to unload your boats. We walked around the place a bit and saw the campground and up the road was a train. There's not a super lot I can say about this park because it's very small. But if you're wanting a camping trip where you go float down the lake, this would be the perfect spot for you.
