The Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain is one of our favorite annual traditions that I highly recommend. We started going in 2020, and we've gone back every year since. Halloween and Fall are some of our favorite times of year, and we all about the Halloween themed events. We will go to all of them! Their theme is 'Play by day, glow by night' because the park is open during the day and you can do all the fun attractions, and then at night, they light the place up! They go ALL out on the decorations and have thousands of lights. They have a storybook walkway where you can see some of your favorite fairy tale characters as pumpkins. During the day, you can ride the tram to the top, ride the train, play putt putt, watch a 4d movie (usually Wizard of Oz), play in the Dinotaurium, walk through the Dinosaur Explore, tour the Historic Square, tour the museums, eat and shop. At night, you can walk through and enjoy all the lights and then watch a laser show. During the festival, they usually add a few shows and a parade and the past few years, there has been a little maze, a pumpkin painting place, and a blackout/glow room that you can dance in. The festival definitely draws in a crowd though, so I highly recommend ordering tickets online. We usually spend the extra $10 per person and get the VIP tickets. Lines at places like the tram can get super super long. I go into more detail about each attraction over on the Stone Mountain Spring page, so if you want to know more about what is offered, check that out. The only negative I can really say is that they have the same Wizard of Oz theme each year, and they don't add much new stuff each year. Watching the Wizard of Oz in 4d is fun the first few times, but year after year, it's just repetitive and we'd love to see something new.
