Cumberland Mountain State Park

Not to be confused with South Cumberland or Cumberland Trail State Parks, Cumberland Mountain State Park is located in Crossville, Tennessee. This park is very rich in CCC history. We stopped in on our way to Edgar Evins State Park, so we did not stay in the park, but it is definitely one of the parks I would love to come back and stay at. The park has a lot to do-there is a swimming pool, a lake for fishing and boating, hiking, a playground, a golf course, and more. There are also cabins and camping for options to stay in. The kids played on the playground after we had lunch at one of the picnic tables, and we walked over to the aviary and checked out the owls and hawks in there. We would have loved to check out the CCC museum but we couldn't ever find the road to it. The only road that seemed to go to it said 'Do Not Enter', so we didn't try. Overall, a very nice, peaceful park with a lot of history.
