overall:

Cloudland Canyon was such a beautiful, phenomenal park! We got to stay in a cabin for a few days. I have to say that this was the busiest state park we have been to to date. Some people hate crowds and super busy parks, so warning, this one is one of those that will be like that. There were people everywhere. We didn't really mind it so much. The canyon is absolutely breathtaking and you don't have to walk much to be able to see the amazing views! However, if you want to get down to the waterfalls, you will have to walk and the walk was considered strenuous. It had some amazing things to see along the way, like the giant rocks you can literally climb under!

There were so many beautiful places all over the park to just sit and relax or have a little picnic. There is a disc-golf field that was very beautiful. Someone had left a few frisbees for people to play with, so we threw the frisbee around a bit. There were two small playgrounds for the kids also. There is no where to swim, but if you hike down to Cherokee Falls, you can get in the pretty cold water. It makes a nice beautiful pool at the bottom. We rolled our pants up and waded in.

Accommodations:
There was a small campground in the main part of the park. It was a small loop, with some bathrooms and showers and a playground. Unfortunately, camp sites were a bit on top of each other and there was very little privacy. There also weren't any views of the canyon or anything really from the campground. However, we stayed in the cabins. The cabins were very rustic and cute. They were way back in the park, so it was a good drive to get to the cabins from the rest of the park. Having kids who want to go back and forth to the playground and then the cabin and then the frisbee field, it was just a lot more driving. But that just means the cabins were private and quiet. They were rustic, which we loved and they had a beautiful screened-in porch-my favorite feature. Our cabin had two bedrooms, a full bathroom, everything you need in the kitchen, a TV, AC and heat. There are also yurts available! If you have never stayed in a yurt, it is such a fun experience!
